How it Started

My name is Robin and I graduated from nursing school in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree.  As a nurse, I have always had the desire to help others. In 2013, I had a total change of lifestyle. After 32 years of being inactive, I began my journey to better health. It began when I started swimming again. I ended up joining a relay team for the Redman Triathlon in OKC. I was the swimmer and joined two friends who did the cycling and running on our 3 man team.  The swim was a short 1.2 miles in Lake Hefner, and in September of 2013, we completed the race, coming in 5th out of 10 female teams. We went back the next year to win it!!

Swimming evolved into running once the weather turned cold. The previous spring, I could not push a cart around Walmart without my back hurting, so I was unsure of how I would be able to run. It didn’t take long to realize the months of swimming had strengthened my back and running was possible. Over the years, I have worked to better my health by making positive lifestyle changes, like getting more exercise and eating better. Since that fateful day in 2013, I have run in many 5K’s, 10K’s, half marathons and completed two half distance triathlons (Ironman). I swam in 4 State Sr Olympics and one National Senior Olympics. I believe my background in nursing and my desire to better my health and the health of others is essential to the future success of my business.

In 2018, I heard about thermal imaging and after researching, I found it to be a legitimate service. I believed the science behind the process and therefore made the decision to open my clinic, along with my daughter-in-law. We have both been certified by the American College of Clinical Thermology. The images are taken in the clinic, then sent, via a secure server, to a Board Certified, thermology trained, MD/DO who interprets the images and sends a report back within 72 hours. There are studies to validate it’s benefit. It is used widely in other countries and although it is not a new service, it is not widely used in the US.

You need to understand, I come from a traditional medical family. Father, mother and both brothers were/are in the medical field, so this new-age stuff had to be a scam, right?  I believe the only reason thermal imaging is not on the forefront of disease prevention and early detection is because the funds are not available for the research needed to prove this is a viable adjunct to the standard of care used today.

With thermal imaging, I believe I have a unique opportunity to help others in many different arenas, from women who are at risk for breast cancer, to athletes with injuries and even those who are at risk for heart disease. My mission is to provide a cost effective alternative to helping identify dysfunction and/or pathology in the people I serve.

As I learn and grow in my quest for a healthier me, I will be adding more services to help benefit others who want to grow and learn, along with me. Education, recipes, products, exercise classes and more. I look forward to what God has in store for us!
